


Reserving the Henn - A $100 deposit check, signed contract and rental payment in full is required to reserve the Henn Mansion. The $100 deposit check, dated the day of the event, is not cashed and is returned to the renter after the event if the Mansion is cleaned, trash removed and no damage has occurred. Approximately one hour may be needed for set-up and a half hour for clean up and these times MUST be included in your contracted time.

THE HENN MANSION SEATS, AND IS LIMITED TO, 80
PEOPLE.
The FOYER is an open area with a staircase that is used for formal entrances and photos only. Access to the staircase and upstairs landing is prohibited at all other times although it may be used for a wedding ceremony only. The "BRIDE'S ROOM" is located in a bedroom on the second floor allowing brides to dress for their wedding.
The LIVING ROOM, 32' by 19', seats 54 guests comfortably at nine 6' by 30" wood grain tables. NO dancing in this room due to the fragile wood floor.
The SUNROOM (west side of house), 25' by 14', seats 16 guests at 4 30" round tables (seats 3 each) and one 39" table (seats 4).
The DINING ROOM, 23' by 23', has three 8' by 30" white tables, one 6' by 30" and one 6' by 18". There is an extra 40" round table and a 34" square card table, if needed. The dining room is usually used to serve buffet-style dinners. Tables and chairs may be moved but care must be taken not to damage restored surfaces of the Mansion. They must be returned to their original positions at the end of the event. Dancing must take place ONLY in this room.
The BREAKFAST ROOM (west of kitchen), 12' by 13', holds a 42" by 60" dining table with 4 chairs. More chairs may be added.
The KITCHEN has a refrigerator with freezer, an electric range that will hold three of the largest disposable foil pans, two microwaves and two 12 cup, one 20 cup and one 100 cup coffee makers. You will need to bring table coverings or placemats, serving utensils, dishcloths, kitchen towels, dish washing liquid, plastic/foil wrap, salt & pepper, etc. Your food containers are very convenient for distribution of your left over food. Coffee filters and trash bags are provided. Mops and brooms are available to clean any spills that may occur. The Mansion MUST be cleaned and in the same shape as it was at the beginning of the rental period.
Decorating
No tape or nails may be used to secure decorations. Small hooks are located throughout the building for attaching decorative items.
Candles must be enclosed in votives or hurricanes. No open flames are permitted. Flower petals and bubbles are permitted outdoors only. Birdseed, rice and glitter are not permitted on the grounds or inside the building.
Deliveries and Catering must be made within the rental period. It is the responsibility of the renter to coordinate all personnel and arrange for their admittance to the facility during the rental period.
General Information / Details
Serving beer and wine requires a $75 city permit (obtained through the Henn Mansion) and an on-site Euclid Police Officer @ 27.68/hour from the time you start serving until the end of your contract time. Bars must be set up in dining room, sunroom or porches only. (Not on wood floors.)
There will be a volunteer host present throughout your rental period who can answer any of your questions. This is a non-smoking building. Please keep doors closed at all times. The Mansion is equipped with central air conditioning. Handicapped access to the mansion and handicapped bathrooms are located in the east porch. Coat racks are located in the east porch.
The Henn Mansion is run by volunteers who are committed to saving this historic home. Income is used for Henn restoration and utility, maintenance, business and mailing expenses. The Mansion is open most Wednesdays from 7p - 9p (please check the calendar for exceptions - click here to view the calendar).
